The International Fencing Coaches Organisation is established for the furtherance and improvement of fencing around the world through:
A.the promotion of the highest professional standards from fencing teachers/coaches, including the promulgation of a system or method of technical instruction to serve as a basis for examination, the determination of terminology and definition, the promotion and management of fencing competitions
B.the settlement of all questions referred to The IFCA and the repression of abuses in connection with the profession
C.representating of IFCA members in their relations with individual fencers, fencing teachers/coaches and organisations around the world.
D. bringing together of National Fencing Academies throughout the world and to encourage Diploma Masters to constitute National Fencing Academies when these do not exist in the countries where they practise;
E.ensuring and maintain constant fraternal relations between National Fencing Academies;
F.representing its members throughout the world with public or private authorities or any other organisation.
G. contributing to the principles, rules, techniques and methods of fencing development in all its forms:
H. ensuring the distribution of all documents relating to fencing;
I.promoting the technical and educational training of its members by all means, particularly:
a. organising courses
b.the development of programmes for examinations together with the composition of the panel of judges responsible for examining the candidates
c.issuing of the Title of “Master”, “Prévôt”, or “Moniteur” - either by the equivalency of diplomas, or by examination by an appropriate panel of judges approved by the IFCA.
d. organising Congresses and other events related to fencing.
